P. Smit B.V. craftsmen stand for custom work, almost always to customer specifications. There is one exception. All over the world PISTON Box Corers en HAJA Box Corers applied to seabed research. These are unique ‘standard products’ of P. Smit B.V., developed and built to collect samples from the (deep) seabed. Our Box Corers are the result of long-term cooperation between our family business and NIOZ – the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research, based on Texel.
